Snowflake Consulting & Data Engineering

Warehouses, pipelines, and dbt work that ships to production — not a 40-page PDF.

We design, build, and harden Snowflake accounts for teams that want a clean data platform without a six-month engagement. From greenfield setup to fixing an account that grew faster than its governance, we focus on production-quality work you can audit on day one.

What we deliver.

  • Account, warehouse, database, and schema design with clear naming conventions
  • Role-based access control — roles, grants, and service accounts that survive team changes
  • Snowpipe, Streams, and Tasks for continuous ingestion and downstream transforms
  • dbt project scaffolding with testing, documentation, and CI integration
  • Cost optimisation — warehouse sizing, auto-suspend tuning, and query profiling
  • Migration support from Redshift, BigQuery, or on-prem SQL Server
  • Monitoring, alerting, and a written runbook handed over at the end

Use cases.

Greenfield data platform

Starting from scratch — we stand up a Snowflake account, load your first sources via Snowpipe or Fivetran, and ship a dbt project with proper tests.

RBAC clean-up

Your Snowflake account has 40+ roles and nobody knows who owns what. We audit the grants, design a functional role model, and migrate without breaking prod.

Cost reduction sprint

Warehouses running on XL with hour-long auto-suspends. We profile the heaviest queries, right-size compute, and usually cut spend 30–50%.

dbt onboarding

Team knows SQL but not dbt. We scaffold the project, wire up CI, set up docs and staging/mart layers, and train the team on the workflow.

Questions.

Do you work with existing Snowflake accounts or only greenfield?+
Both. A lot of our work is cleaning up accounts that grew organically — fixing role sprawl, reducing cost, or untangling ELT pipelines that broke when the original author left.
Do we need dbt, or can you work with plain SQL?+
dbt is our default because it gives you testing, docs, and lineage for free. If you already have a stored procedure codebase, we can maintain it or plan a migration — whichever makes more business sense.
How do you handle credentials and access?+
We work through a scoped service role you control, never a shared admin login. Credentials stay in your vault or secret manager; we use short-lived access during the engagement.
What does a typical engagement look like?+
One to three weeks for a focused scope — RBAC overhaul, dbt scaffold, cost audit, or Snowpipe setup. Larger platforms or migrations run four to eight weeks with weekly demos.
